I have little more to add that hasnt already been said. Ive read through several pages in this thread (probably more then CCP will read) and everything i fear and agree with has been posted.
To sum up, what seems to be the biggest outrage is the leaked document which shows that non vanity items may very well be available in the future through MT. Items that give advantages and appear out of thin air without being made ingame, such as ammo and ships. Even more worrying, the idea that skillpoints can be bought, which insults the years and countless hours i have spent training up and developing my skills to know that someone can just show up and buy his way to exactly my level and beyond effort free. I fear that soon it will not matter how skilled you are or how well you understand eve that matters, it will be the size of your wallet that gets you places ingame.
The huge turn around from promising no MT in eve at all, and then just vanity items only, and now from the leaked document it is clear that non vanity items are very much on the cards for Eve's future and shows the dark direction CCP is taking.
Eve has always been appealing because of its sandbox nature and the fact it is different and unique from most MMO's. Ive been proud to promote Eve to friends and tell them how different it is and how in depth it is. The leaked document suggests you are removing that depth and the uniqueness and that it will turn into your bog standard MMO.
If CCP speaks out about the leaked document, this is what people want to hear. I would want to hear (well, read) that CCP will never introduce ingame advantages via the MT store. No ability to purchase unique ships, standard ships, weapons, ammo, fittings, skillpoints or faction standings. However, it seems they have already decided that this is the future for Eve

basically, ignore Kristoffer Touborg and listen to John Turberfield. That is my advice to CCP.
If people are still unsure who these two CCP employees are or what the leaked document is all about, go to

Someone pointed out that the only people who are unhappy are those here posting on the forum, and everyone else is fine with the changes. I bet there are many people playing eve right now who are blissfully unaware of whats happening here and what CCP seem to have in mind for the future.

Edited by: Captain Travaras on 24/06/2011 11:04:07 sadly, i doubt CCP will read more then a few pages of this thread. However, as most people seem to be united on what the big problems and fears are, CCP should be a little more enlightened.
The opening post from CCP Pann seemed to ignore the big thing most people are angry with, the leaked document showing MT for non vanity items is very much on the cards, despite promises it wouldnt be the direction Eve would take. Hopefully this is the message they will take and their next response will answer these fears directly

despite all the depressing things we have discovered lately about CCP, this storm has brought up some amazing art work

another example of what used to be a great and unique game, which was ruined by Micro transactions and buying ingame advantages.

This is a very well tailored response that has been made and i have seen multiple people reposting. This is what CCP need to read if they want a summary of what we are angry about

Not one DEV post in this thread now in 11 hours....
my guess is they dont have anything to say that we will want to hear. They can say sorry all they like, but if it doesnt change their minds on where they want the game to go, then their apologies are empty.

in my view, this seems to be alot more damaging for CCP then the Lulzsec attack (admittedly, not much they could do), and i thought people were annoyed when that happened
